Great time with Roberta We were in Civitavecchia for a day before leaving on a cruise and decided to take this tour. Roberta met us at our hotel and took us on walk through the city. She had so much historical information to share with us and was very enthusiastic about it. We had a very nice day with her and enjoyed our stop for gelato and a delicious charcuterie and glass of wine.

Misleading Roberta, our tour guide, was very nice, engaging, and quick to smile. The tour name is a little misleading. If you are a History Buff and want to know about Civitavecchia's history, the five tribes, development of the Port, Roman influences and things of that nature, it's great. However if you think it's about a walking tour that includes just restaurants, bistros, cafes, and other eating/dining experiences this is not it. The tour included a stop for gelato and at the end, a final stop at "MyLord" restaurant which includes a wonderful, boxed charcuterie. Food Tasty Walking Tour - no, History - yes.

Fantastic cookery class in Civitavecchia My husband and I didn’t fancy going into Rome on our recent cruise as it was so hot, so we decided to book this fantastic cookery class. Federico was a wonderful teacher and host who accommodated our dietary needs (that I had forgotten to tell him about before hand) without any fuss. We made some delicious dishes including an authentic bolognaise sauce, gnocchi, grilled eggplant, tomato and mozzarella and tiramisu in his wonderful cool kitchen. His lovely partner, Tracy made us feel very welcome too. Tracy makes bags and bracelets and let us choose one each. I choose a lovely bright pink bag to use for the beach - the colour really pops! And is a great reminder of the time we spent with them. If we’re ever in Civitavecchia again we’ll definitely book another class! Thank you Federico and Tracy!

Time well spent in an awesome little town. The tour was wonderful. Roberta did an excellent job showing us around and telling us about Civitavecchia’s history. Small personal tours are definitely the way to go. Thanks again Roberta.

A pleasant way to pass a few hours The guide did as best possible , just don’t expect much as there is not much to see. The tasting was limited to one tasting experience, which was really good.

Fantastic Tour Alessia did a fabulous job! She showed us all the major highlights of Civitavecchia and explained everything so well answering all of our questions. We stopped for pastries and cappuccino and had a fabulous sampling of wine, cheeses, meats, and olives (enough that it was lunch) at a cute café. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Learn, walk and eat Since I have been to Rome before, I wanted to try something local and cultural. I was not disappointed! Roberta was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. She was fun to spend the morning with, sharing stories and the history of Civitavecchia with such pride and excitement. Our group was small, only three of us, so we got to talk more about our experiences. Enjoying a morning cafe and pastry and ending with a charcuterie plate. I think we had a more personalized tour, like walking with friends. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Civitavecchia food and history tour, instead of Rome for a day We had a lovely afternoon with Alessia! She gave us a great history of Civitavecchia and took us to a few great food spots. I highly recommend this tour for a relaxing day with a little history and food.

Nice Personalized Cooking Class This was a very enjoyable 5 hour experience! We fist walked through a very busy market, where tour guide Massimiliano stopped to purchase a few items for the cooking class. We then went on to a little restuarant where Owner/Chef Patrice walked us through a hands on, multi-course lunch preparation, making everything from scratch. Mass served as our interpreter and offered insights into Patrice (who does not speak English) and her business.

Wonderful Adventure Fabulous time getting to see the city and cooking/eating great food. Our guide was wonderful in his knowledge of the local area, the Italian culture and in providing us the right level of information. He made it fun and real. Cooking class was a blast - truly a great experience.
