He took us on a market tour in Civitavecchia where he purchased items that we were to prepare. Our next stop was RC La Nona Restaurant and Catering. We were met by Juliana, the owner and chef of the restaurant. We then donned our chef's aprons and sat down for some pastry and proceco. We were then led into the kitchen where we began to prepare our meal. During our time there we prepared veal saltimbocca, gnocchi, and tiramisu. Juliana was wonderful throughout the entire event. Her friendly attitude and playful joking about how we were working on the ingredients was delightful. Massimaliano was great explaining each step and translating Italian to English and back. The whole experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend this for a very enjoy tour. read less

Our wonderful guide was Massimiliano who couldn’t have been better. He was knowledgeable, warm, and very interesting. Our walk around Cevitechhi included historical information as well as the fresh market. What a thrill to see all the activity, including vegetables, fruit, meat and seafood. Max was to prepurshase some ingredients. Julianna wanted bacon that wasn’t smoked. Oops! Max bought smoked! It’s a good thing she had extra in the freezer! Such fun, she teased Max our guide. We moved on from there! What a delicious meal and all four of us had many opportunities to participate in the preparation as well as the eating. What a great day. read less

Our guide, Natalina, met us promptly, even early, for our tour. We were the only guests on this particular tour which was great. The tour is centred around the old walled city, so it’s not a huge area to cover. However, the information, supported by drawings, was amazing. The food stops were excellent, sampling local pastries, wine, meat and cheese. All in all it was a lovely 3 hours and very enjoyable. read less

Massimiliano was such an amazing guide - from the moment we met him he made us feel so welcomed like we were old friends. He showed us around town and took us to the market to buy some supplies before heading to Giuliana's restaurant for our cooking class. We loved getting to spend time in the kitchen with Giuliana and Max. We learned some great recipes and had a lot of fun getting to talk with them while we cooked. Afterwards, we enjoyed the delicious meal together before heading back to our meeting point. I can't say enough great things about this tour because the people who led it were so warm and welcoming. We truly felt like part of their Italian family and would love to come back in the future! read less

Along the way she pointed out various historical sites. After purchasing our supplies we walked to a restuarant where we were instructed and participated in preparing gnocchi, veal saltanbucco and Terra Misu . We drank Prosecco while cooking and then adjourned to a large table to eat the foods we prepared which was paired with a fine local red wine. Our tour was just my wife and I but they can accommodate up to 8 friends who want the tour. The tour was great and our guide exceptional.
